Maui Sufi Camp

Location: Camp Keanae, Maui, Hawaii.

Nearest Airport: Kahului, Maui (OGG) ~ about a 35 minute drive, There is a shuttle service available on the first and last days of camp (for a fee).

Time of Year: Spring and Fall, usually May and October.

Who Attends: Local Hawaii community, many who come year after year, Sufi folks and others from the mainland and beyond, young adults on scholarships.

Weather: Hot and sunny (in the 80s) to cool and rainy (as low as high 60s) and possibly, but rarely, cooler.

Accommodations: Lots of beautiful camp spots, and a tent rental service for the first 7 who reserve.Two women’s dorms, and 2 co-ed dorms.Two bath/shower houses with separate sections for men and women.

Special Considerations: Swimming hole nearby and Ocean Entry for experienced ocean swimmers, no sandy beaches nearby, AT& T and Verizon cell phones service in some areas of camp, no internet except through phone or ipad. Wednesday Evening Zikr when many wear white, Bazaar, talent night, sweat lodge, Auction, Scholarships for Young Adults and
Work Trade Scholarship available.
